Through our orchid safari you will experience the best eco adventures available, visiting many locations littered with thousands of orchids and other wild flowers. You will of course see many known orchids in situ, but you will also observe new un-described species in some of the locations visited. Our tours are specialized and unique in locations, providing an abundance of variety and spectacular scenery for nature lovers of all ages from all walks of life.
Our 'Orchid Safari' ecological tours are designed to provide quality and to educate and bring people face to face with nature to observe the intertwined eco systems and how many different plants grow and proliferate in the wild. While our tours have an emphasis on observing wild orchids, the nature of the locations we visit are littered with wild flowers and other plants and amazing scenery of all kinds and all nature lovers will appreciate the unique format and specialized locations of our safaris. Accompanied with our head lecturer Rod Rice, a very experienced explorer of the forests and jungles of South East Asia, internationally published botanical author, Honorary Research Associate to the Orchid Herbarium at Sydney Royal Botanical Gardens Australia and Director of the 'Kanchanaburi Orchid Species Research Collection' Thailand, makes our safari's entirely unique. Our tours are also an excellent tool for educating students of all levels about the environment and different forests and eco systems.
Physically the tours are generally easy going but consistent in pace, sometimes with some mild to steep climbing. But we do stop for rest breaks. Safe swimming is available at some locations.
Our aim is to cater for those who would prefer comfortable transport to and from the airport/s and between tour destinations accompanied by world-class accommodation with generous supplies of top quality food (including our famous smorgasbord lunches) when not trekking. While during the day you will experience the forests first hand - full of orchids and other epiphytes and wild flowers as we visit a variety of exceptional localities.
For those who need accommodation at a tour's end as your connection or flight home or next destination maybe 1-2 days or more away etc. We can help find suitable accommodation for you if you let us know at least 30 days in advance. We offer this service free to those who have participated in one of our tours.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any inquiries. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kanchanaburi (the city centre about 2-3 hours drive north-west from Bangkok ) is the 3rd largest and the most interesting and diverse province in all of Thailand . Consisting of flat plains, limestone based mountains and waterfalls, hundreds of rivers, tall evergreen wet tropical forest to distinct monsoonal deciduous forest, providing great diversity in the flora and fauna, there is something here for everyone's interest in the diverse eco systems of this large province.
Our tour will concentrate mainly on the forests to the north and north-west where there is great diversity in the orchids and other wild flowers (& birds) with many spectacular waterfalls, mountain ranges, hundreds of rivers, Thailand 's second and third largest natural reserves of water with many inland islands, limestone caves etc.
Kanchanaburi is also famous for the ‘Bridge over the River Kwai' (where tens of thousands of allied soldiers and South East Asian slave labourers died during the Second World War), war museums and cemeteries, hellfire pass and the Thai/Burma Death Railway, night markets, the Tiger Temple where Monks live openly with numerous full grown tigers and numerous historical battle sites dating back centuries, amazing rock & boulder nurseries among other things.
