Restrepia brachypus cv. Red Superior.
Restrepia brachypus Rchb.f.
This is a slightly variable species, but no where near as variable as some others i.e. R. contorta or R. guttulata Lindl. for example. It is a small to large growing Restrepia, with it having a distribution in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. It is normally a species with a striped synsepal/bloom, but occasionally spotted forms are encountered. It would appear to be variable in colour more so than pattern. This taxa is often found labelled as R. antennifera H.B.K. or R. striata(which is not a valid name for Restrepia taxa).
