The pleurothallids, is the common name used collectively for all the genera that fall under the banner subtribe Pleurothallidinae, which comprises of about 26 genera and well over 3000 species.
Some of these genera have already received reasonable coverage over the years including Dracula Luer, Masdevallia Ruiz & Pavon, Pleurothallis R. Br. and of course Restrepia H.B.K.
Some of the other genera such as Zootrophium Luer, Porroglossum Schltr. and Barbosella Schltr. are not really well known, yet they are indeed interesting, and well worth cultivating.
