

Dracula vampira would have to be one of the most famous of all orchids, if for nothing else its name alone.
Large, bold, striking dark blooms are produced on semi pendulous inflorescences in late winter and early spring. Most Draculas like cool, moist airy conditions to grow and flower really well.
However, there a number of species that are quite adaptable to slightly warmer conditions, and often make good garden plants in the right, shady moist environment. e.g. Dracula bella (Rchb.f.) Luer
