This is a rather well known species in culture and many forms of it have been line bred. It is a native of Nepal and north eastern India and Bhutan. It has beautifully marked marble like leaves, giving it its common name of 'Snake Skin Orchid'. It is a very easy grower in cool to intermediate conditions.
