Paphiopedilum helenae Aver.

Vietnam has been the home for numerous new discoveries in recent years and P. helenae is just one of them. P. helenae is quite closely related to P. barbigerum Tang & Wang a native of China. The glorious bright yellow blooms are produced on a short inflorescence only 4-6cm tall. The plant itself is also only very small in stature, some plants only reaching up to 7cm across from leaf tip to leaf tip.
