Oncidium pulchellum Hk.
Many people now refer to species from the section Variegata as a separate genus Tolumnia. Which ever way you decided to look at that matter, O. pulchellum is one of the most beautiful of the equitant oncidiums. In fact one of the most beautiful of any Oncidium. A tall, branched raceme, up to 50cm long bears between 10-20 gorgeous pink blooms, each about 3cm long. Equitants can often be difficult to maintain in cultivation, however, they grow best on mounts with excellent air movement, good humidity, and a minimum winter night temperature of around 8-10 degree Celsius.
