Oncidium flexuosum Sims

O. flexuosum is no doubt rather well know in culture, as it has been around for decades and written about many times over the years in many orchid publications globally. Even though it inhabits warm to hot humid environments such as swamps and lowland forest, it is quite amenable to different culture regimes. It can be grown from temperate bush house climates to being placed in a warm hot house. It has a climbing habit and is best placed on a long mount such a piece of fence palling or a slab of fibrous hard wood. It is a native of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
