Maxillaria notylioglossa Rchb.f.

This species hails from Colombia and Venezuela and probably Brazil. I say probably Brazil as there is some confusion with M. notylioglossa and M. cerifera Barb. & Rodr. The smallish green to yellow blooms are quite unique and easily recognized with its raised white ridge on the margin of the mid lobe. This same feature immediately identifies the Brazilian M. cerifera.
