Maxillaria hematoglossa Rich. & Gal.
Here we have the classic plant falsely identified as M. cucullata. This species is very common in collections with the name M. cuccullata, but this is indeed incorrect. It is clearly from the M. cuccullata alliance and has very similar flowering and growing habits. But easily separated from the true M. cuccullata by its yellow stripped and spotted blooms. M. hematoglossa comes from Costa Rica
