Bulbophyllum macranthum Lindl.

The amazing blooms of this species are beautiful and quite unique. The erect inflorescence borne along the rhizome during the warmer months, bears a single, large flower which produce a rather exotic and interesting, sweet perfume. The blooms are highly colourful and are some what variable in their colour regime. Please note the blooms are naturally produced up side down and the photo depicts this habit exactly.
